After working in Manhattan in The New York Times Advertising Department, I decided to try my hand in Oceanography at GSO. I initially worked at aging winter flounder larvae using their otoliths, then led the Planktoneers during the U.S. GLOBEC Georges Bank study. More recently I have turned myself into a molecular biologist helping develop the PNA/PCR method for amplifying DNA from copepod guts and quantifying prey DNA with qPCR.

I’m very excited about this trip and hope we all can accomplish our goals.
